Painting is very easy when you don’t know how, and very difficult when you do.

Edgar Degas

Art has always been a part of my life. Drawing horses and copying Christmas cards as a child, art classes in high school, painting furniture and glassware, and designing logos and invitations for nonprofits for - I have always felt the need to create. When I see a beautiful work of art I think “How did they do that? How can I do that?”

My adventures in watercolor began in 2001 with a two hour workshop at an art store. I have continued my education in watercolor through books, classes and workshops from very talented artists. I have learned that the most important skill is to relax and have FUN with my painting. To enjoy the process!

I am inspired by many things in the world around me. I am enchanted with the brilliant colors of nature and the expressiveness of animals.

My goal, through my paintings, is to share with others my love of art and the joy of creating.
